REAL-TIME TEACHER-LED ADAPTIVE LEARNING
LingoSide is an emerging e-learning and EdTech startup pioneering a new model called REAL-TIME TEACHER-LED ADAPTIVE LEARNING.
In this model, the teacher remains the adaptive engine. LingoSide connects lesson evidence to later recall and brings it back for the next pedagogical decision.
For the teacher
Real-time suggestions highlight what to notice, why it may matter and what could help next.
For the learner
Research-based support uses retrieval practice, lesson context and spaced return to strengthen understanding, independent speech and recall.
Real time + evidence-based memory
The source moment, approved correction, recall attempt and later use stay connected across the learning loop.
In Stanford’s randomised Tutor CoPilot trial, students of tutors who could call up AI-suggested replies were four percentage points more likely to pass the end-of-lesson mathematics check — nine points where tutors had the least experience. The tutor chose, edited or ignored each suggestion. The trial studied text-chat mathematics tutoring, not LingoSide, and measured end-of-lesson checks rather than end-of-year tests — LingoSide’s own learning outcomes must be measured directly.
Read the Stanford studyWhat a suggestion looks like
An assistant that chats fills the space the learner should be using to speak. So a suggestion has a fixed shape: it is the help itself, with nothing wrapped around it.
No greetings, no thanks, no apologies, no praise, no preambles, no confirmation chatter and no follow-up questions of its own.
No model name, no explanatory footer, no metadata underneath. If the sidecar has nothing useful to say, it says nothing.
A form, a short hint or two or three short examples — enough to unlock the sentence the learner is building, instead of writing that sentence for them.
This is built into the shared rules the sidecar runs on, with the shape checked in code and covered by tests — not a tone we hope the model keeps.

Twenty-three research areas, 261 claims and 171 sources — and the thirty claims we stress-tested until three of them broke.
The five-stage loop, the memory model, the teacher decision layer, and what happens between a microphone and a grounded suggestion.
Two sidecars over one lesson, and the line between what LingoSide carries and what stays the teacher’s.
What the learner sees beside a live lesson: the words, the translation underneath, quiet help — and why reading along trains the ear instead of replacing it.
How this differs from language apps, meeting assistants and AI tutors — plus straight answers on privacy, languages and where it runs.
